Soon residents will be enjoying the impressive new addition of a 90-acre Belterra pedestrian shopping center, featuring local stores, restaurants, and commercial office space for those looking to skip commuting into Austin altogether.

In fact, some of these kids currently attending Rooster will grow to become part of the first class to assemble at the new area Middle School set to be completed 2017-2018. Residents are served by the Dripping Springs ISD for every attendance level. The community of Belterra lies within the zip code 78737 and Hays County, just eight miles east of Dripping Springs Texas, and nine miles from Dripping Springs High School along Highway 290. How did Belterra get it’s name?

Belterra is a shortened version of the two words “bella” and “terra” which mean beautiful land. It was not named after the Belterra casino resort located in the state of Indiana. Located on 1,600 acres of Hill Country land in Hays County, the community was aptly named after the gorgeous natural surroundings it occupies.

Where is Belterra located?
