Things to Do Near the Belterra Community
The community of Belterra lies within the zip code 78737 and Hays County, just eight miles east of Dripping Springs Texas, and nine miles from Dripping Springs High School along Highway 290. Daily commuters are 20 miles from the heart of downtown Austin’s tech and financial centers but worlds apart from the stress of city living.
How did Belterra get it’s name?
Belterra is a shortened version of the two words “bella” and “terra” which mean beautiful land. It was not named after the Belterra casino resort located in the state of Indiana. Located on 1,600 acres of Hill Country land in Hays County, the community was aptly named after the gorgeous natural surroundings it occupies.
