Dripping Springs Ranch is a small neighborhood that offers the best of both worlds. It is easy to get to southwest Austin by traveling a little over 20 miles along Highway 290, so residents can enjoy the quiet country life without giving up any city activities they enjoy. Dripping Springs has its own distinctions, including being an official International Dark Sky Community and the official Wedding Capital of Texas.
Although the neighborhood itself is very small, with less than 20 properties, the homes are so large that the neighborhood itself takes up a large area. All of the houses are custom built, so styles vary widely, and some residents choose to have horses, barns, livestock and even outdoor entertainment areas. Inside, there are expansive floorplans with oversized windows, modern appliances and other luxury features. There are several retail and dining experiences close to Dripping Springs Ranch, and there is also the Grey Rock Golf Course, the Hamilton Pool and the Hill Country Galleria which also has a movie theater. Children will attend school at the Dripping Springs Independent School District, which has four elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school. The schools consistently meet and exceed standards.
